BEING WITH ABUNDANCE Part 2

This is a 2-part post, where the first part was posted in a separate blog.

In this post I introduce B - the back-up house help. As B moved closer to completing her 4 week stint with me, I put aside a few well kept and cared for sarees that I wanted to give her as a special thank-you for stepping in when no one else did.

At the start of her fourth week, she called me saying she won't be able to complete the four weeks since she's leaving for her village right away. Needless to say that I was disappointed, but I realised that I was also disappointed that I wouldn't be able to give her the sarees I'd kept aside for her.

To my surprise, she called me the next morning that her plan had changed and she would be able to continue. Without further delay, I handed over the sarees to her the very next day! She was evidently thrilled with that unexpected gift :)

To me, this is a small representation of how I'm starting to see and understand the abundant ways of the Universe - the Universe is waiting and wanting to shower us with abundance beyond our expectations, but it's we ourselves that get in the way with our doubts, limiting stories, fears and so on.

The Universe keeps sending us small and big 'testing scenarios' to allow us an opportunity to deepen our trust in abundance.

I'm beginning to see that the Universe must also sigh disappointedly when we make choices that keep us from receiving the abundance that is meant for us.

The lesson I've discovered is this - the abundance that is meant for us is beyond anything we can ever desire even in our wildest imagination, and what we actually receive is not a reflection of what's meant for us, but of the readiness of our 'vessel/being' to receive it.

Here are some useful questions to consider in order to unlock more abundance -

• How ready am I physically, emotionally, spiritually to receive the abundance meant for me?

• In what way do I want to commit to my growth so that it supports the gaps that come up in the previous question? 

• Do I truly believe that the Universe has abundance beyond anything I could perceive or desire, and how can I strengthen that belief?
